Hi everyone! Wow! Can't believe that 10 years has already passed.

Since graduating high school, I have gotten two degrees in education (one from WOU and my Masters in Education from Pacific) and have been substitute teaching for about 5 years. I am enjoying substituting in the Beaverton School District. I've met many wonderful teachers and students. Best of all, I've been able to substitute in my favorite type of classes: English Language Development or as it's usually known, ESL. I love it! My goal and dream is to be an ELD teacher. It's so exciting to see students develop their language skills and become more confident in communicating. I love their diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Besides work and schooling, I've enjoyed taking some fun trips over the past few years. In 2009, my family and I took a big road trip around the west part of the U.S. I got to see the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and many other neat places. In 2011, I went to Costa Rica for about two weeks and had quite an adventure! It was my first time out of the country and I was fully immersed in the culture. I have lots of empathy for students as they learn English because of that trip. I love traveling and hope to do it more!

Of these 10 years, my favorite part was marrying the love of my life, Brian. We got married on May 31, 2014. We had a wonderful wedding! That same year we bought a house in Aloha. Big year! We are now settling in and enjoying life together.

Wishing you all the very best. I hope to make it to the reunion but it's a fairly busy summer!

(not sure why my 'now' picture is so pixelated but oh well!)
